Collaborating with JBA Indonesia, Mega Insurance Owned by Taipan CT Aims for a Premium of IDR 4 Billion


InvestorCrypto.net - Chairul Tanjung's general insurance company, PT Asuransi Umum Mega (Mega Insurance), is aiming to achieve a premium income of up to Rp4 billion through a partnership with the automotive auction house PT JBA Indonesia. 

Tomy Ferdiansah, the President Director of Mega Insurance, stated that the collaboration involves providing benefits of personal accident insurance for every seller or buyer of four-wheeled vehicles who are active members at JBA Auction House. 

"Since the amount is not large, the premium may be around Rp200,000-Rp300,000, so in a year, it could reach around Rp3 billion-Rp4 billion," said Tomy after the signing of the agreement between Mega Insurance and JBA Indonesia in Jakarta on Monday, 25th March 2024.

In addition to personal accident insurance, Tomy revealed that JBA car members will also receive benefits such as death benefits due to accidents, permanent disability benefits due to accidents, medical expenses, death benefits other than accidents (natural death), and daily hospitalization benefits due to accidents.

"And in the future, the products will not be limited to this alone, but there will be other products as well. Perhaps the buyers who have cars or homes they want covered, will also be covered by Mega Insurance in the future," he added.

Tomy explained that through this collaboration, both parties hope that JBA Indonesia members can derive maximum benefits from Mega Insurance's Personal Accident Insurance products. 

He mentioned that this initiative is a contribution and commitment from Mega Insurance to raise public awareness about the importance of insurance protection, as well as to expand their partnership network and business potential with JBA Indonesia.

On the other hand, Deny Gunawan, the Chief Operating Officer of JBA Indonesia, expressed that the company aims to provide value as a form of appreciation for JBA members. 

"As an automotive auction house, JBA also wants to provide personal services that care for our loyal customers. One of which is our presence in alleviating the risks that participants of JBA car auctions may encounter," he concluded.
